This year's "Midnight Blu" New Year's Eve, Multi Venue Party offers three parties in one! One ticket gets you into all three venues, all night long. The pre-parties begin at both Opal Ultra Lounge and Blu the nightclub, with doors opening at 8 PM. Opal will feature top forty house and mash-ups, party favors and a balloon drop at midnight. Blu the nightclub will also open at 8 PM, featuring high energy dance music, party favors and confetti cannons at midnight. MontBleu's 14,000 sq foot convention center will open at 10 PM and feature the live music from "Disco Inferno" presented by Boogie Nights, party favors and a balloon drop at midnight. In and out privileges will be offered at all three venues, as guests will be allowed to float from party to party. Ticket prices are $50.00 in advance for all three parties, $75.00 day of. The Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam series for amateur snowboarders returns for another 17-stop North American tour, and it will drop in on Sierra-at-Tahoe on Jan. 3. The PB&RJ series is cool in two ways: There’s no cost (other than lift ticket, of course) to enter the competition, which will be separated into four divisions -- 15 and under and 16 and over, girls and open -- and there will be a bunch of swag (i.e., free prizes and food.) so that everyone who enters walks away with something.

Experience the Coolest Event of the Year! On March 21, 2009, hundreds of hearty souls with warm hearts will brave the chilly waters of South Lake Tahoe at Zephyr Cove to raise money for Special Olympics. Special Olympics provides year round sports training and competition opportunities for children and adults with developmental disabilities. Take the plunge and ask your family, friends and co-workers to make a monetary pledge to support you. Plungers who raise $100 or more will receive a Polar Plunge sweatshirt. Costumes are encouraged and crazy fun can be expected!! Be a Team Captain and form your own team of plungers who will join you and ask their friends, family and co-workers for pledges. Registration begins at 10:30 am at Zephyr Cove. Costume contest is at 11:30 and plunge happens at 12 noon. The Post party takes place on the M.S. Dixie immediately following the Plunge. Douglas County Parks & Recreation Department along with Tahoe Douglas Firefighters Association will sponsor the annual Tot Easter Egg Hunt at Kahle Community Park. The event will begin at 11 AM and all children ages 6 and under are invited to attend. There is no charge for children to participate. An Eggstra special day for Family Fun! The Easter Bunny will be hiding eggs outside and you can climb on fire trucks. Come inside and enjoy our bounce house, indoor playground and refreshments. Bring a basket to collect eggs and a camera for an Eggsciting day! Hunt begins at 11am and gym will be open until 1pm.

Last Tracks Wine Tasting at Diamond Peak
From the mid-mountain Snowflake Lodge, guests enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Tahoe while tasting fine wines and tasty appetizers. Afterwards, guests ski, telemark or snowboard down a freshly groomed blue corduroy run to the bottom. Last Tracks is held on Saturdays until the end of the season. Events start approximately at 4pm. Space is limited, so reserve your spot today ! Single event tickets are $32. A Last Tracks Season Pass for $200 will secure your spot at every Last Tracks during the season!
